Many people aren’t familiar with the differences and similarities of the many varieties of Latin dance. Sometimes that adds confusion when making a choice. More Information On Latin Dance Styles

Cha Cha

The Cha Cha is a lively ballroom dance full of passion and energy. The classic “Cuban motion” gives the Cha Cha its unique style. Partners work together to synchronize each movement in perfect alignment.

Rumba

The Rumba is considered by many to be the most romantic and sensual of all Latin ballroom dances. It is often referred to as the “Grandfather of the Latin dances.”

Salsa

Salsa is the Spanish word for “sauce” denoting a “spicy” and “hot” flavor to this popular dance style to a complex mix of many different rhythms. The fusion of an Afro-Cuban beat with enhanced jazz textures has become popular everywhere.

Samba

Possibly the most popular of all Brazilian ballroom dances, the Samba is popular with young people as well as older dancers. The Samba can be performed solo or with a partner.

Merengue

Merengue is sometimes considered the simplest dance to learn. Its uncomplicated timing makes it easy to feel the music & adapt to any partner.
Swing/East Coast Swing

Swing

is a dance with a carefree relaxed style. The various speeds are excellent training for quick footwork and good leading & following which will add comfort and ease in other rhythm dances. Students find Swing a fun and exciting dance.
