Alexandra Golota started to take ballet classes when she was 4 years old with Ms. Galina Berezova at the Kiev Choreography School. Later she was transferred to the class of Ms. Antonina Vasilieva. Alexandra graduated from the Kiev Academy of Arts with degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in Entertainment and Choreography. She performed solo and duo folk-scenic, ball room and jazz dances in Kiev Theater of Contemporary Ballet, “Grotesque” Drama Theater and Kiev Music Company.
Upon her arrival to the US, Alexandra took lessons with the professional troupe of Boitsov Classical Ballet Co. Alexandra then performed in Russian Art Tea Gallery of Mrs. Rena Citrin. She accepted a teaching position with the Ballet Russe School in Skokie, IL, where she worked alongside the accomplished and renowned teacher and choreographer Ms. Inesse Alexandrov. In her 5 years of working there, Alexandra choreographed a wide variety of character, jazz, ball room and classical dance pieces. Alexandra taught students that included Ms. Natalie Lacuesta (four-time U.S. National Champion, 7-time U.S. National Team Member, and 1996 U.S. Olympian gymnast), Ms. Jennifer Hennessy, Ms. Nadia Oussenko (MA Choreography), & Ms. Julia Dudnik (Miss Russian Chicago ‘96).
During this time Alexandra performed dance pieces for Unity and Diversity TV production by Mr. Azaka Azanaky on Channel 19. She then accepted a teaching position with the Academy of Ballet and Arts in Wheeling, IL, that is owned by Mrs. Bella Levinson and Mrs. Marina Meltser. Her Alexandra choreographed and staged most of the pieces for the first ever concert by the Academy students where she developed and taught all of the routines within 5 months. She also prepared students and participated in the joint performance of Street Jazz dance on the Real McCoy Show by Mr. George McCoy. Alexandra taught and worked with Ms. Julia Levinson in the Character Dance class.
Provided private ballet lessons for Ms. Monica Serafin, who trained at the Glenview Ice Center and won many titles and trophies both locally and nationally.
Alexandra also worked as a choreographer for Ms. Russian Chicago ’96 and Mrs. Russian Chicago ’97 Beauty Contests that were conducted by “New Life” Radio and Mrs. Nataly Altman. She also choreographed two dance pieces for Ms. Liza Wang, a renowned US rhythmic gymnast.
Alexandra has also worked as an aerobics instructor for Women’s Workout World in Niles, IL, and she was most recently worked as Ballet Instructor at North Shore Skating Academy for Mrs. Maria Jezak-Athey in Northbrook, IL.
